There's just so much going on and I have to make some vows to things I am going to pay more attention to!

1. This blog and informing you all what I'm up to (because that's what you all really want right?!!) And I swear this will change... it will!
2. Reading, I just got this great book 1000 books to read before you die, I'm starting people, quiet time here I come!
3. The big picture (take that how you will.)

Any way; three things I am working on and as of Easter I will be blogging weekly.. wow, that's so lame sounding.

I'm going to write about my life and what I am up to every week, that's better!

It’s my birthday, and I’ll cry if I want to... wait I don’t want to cry on my birthday!!! I want to have a party and I want to hear bands and I want to have a drink, forget about my aches and pains and who cares that it’s MONDAY!

It’s my actual birthday! And everyone knows I love a good party.

Back aches, grey hairs, Mondays…whatever they all stink, but you can use some Ben Gay on that bad back, Miss Clairol those grays away, GO to a show on a Monday Night, yeah that’s it!! Come and celebrate my birthday with me. There are some amazing bands playing I am so lucky to know and love all these people! The party is sponsored by the Weekly Dig, and I’m donating a portion of the door proceeds to the Girl Scouts of America (yeah I was a Brownie and a Girl Scout!)

Here’s some info about the bands…

Boo Boo. What can one say about DJ Boo Boo Danger, he has kick ass choice in music, he spins one great jam after another, he has style and his music often accompanies the Derby Dames bouts. And I’m helping him as assistant DJ, because everyone knows I have kick ass taste in music. Geesh.

I love the Bon Savants. Plain and simple. And Thom is sweet and nice, the whole band is sweet and nice, but Thom’s a rocket scientist too. BONUS POINTS. Thom’s doing his own solo works opening the night, amazing.

On of my favorite CD’s this year The SnowLeopards Debut create the feel of the golden days of '70s and '80s FM Rock (Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Joan Jett), listening to the inspires interpretive dance (usually alone in my office and pretending I’m Heidi.)

EJ ROCKS! 1. EJ is a rapper/mc and is sometimes (and could be for my b-day but I make no promises) is backed by aa DJ, percussionist and backing vocals 2. EJ’s big in Japan, not kidding the woman has a chart topping hit with an honest to gawd Japanese pop star! 3. She was the first woman to be nominated for a BMA in the Hip-Hop category! And she’s a sweetie pie.

Here are the tentative set times:

8:30- 9 Thom of The Bon Savants solo performance.

My Prom date on Oprah... that's right!

Ok.. coolest thing in a while...

My PROM DATE the amazing and adorable Dan Peraino from the White Mountain School, is going to be on Oprah! Dan is single (sad....) and is a member of the dreaded Match.com and that's where Harpo Productions found the young man!

Look for me out on the town with Dan as I will be parading him around (with the same outft on as he wore on the show) looking cute at dinner dates (platonic.. geesh!)

I am TiVOing Oprah on Friday but here's the skinny straight from Dan!

Hello Everyone-
Yes, indeed. I was on the Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday (airs next Friday April 27 on ABC). My international TV debut ... one of 50 eligible bachelors from around the country selected by the producers of the show.

Umm...the show is about single women over 30 who think that all the good guys are taken (haha, that's where I come in). I come out onstage with the other guys during the last 15 -20mins or so.

Here's the kicker-
She actually picked me out of the whole group to come down and talk to her. No warning, just Oprah asking "Where's Dan? ... will Dan please step down?" I don't know how much they're going to edit, but should be pretty funny. Only about 20 million viewers on average.
Hope all's well with everyone ...
Best,
Dan

MOTHERBOAR:

MOTHERBOAR is a gang of deviants hell-bent on bringing their metal n' roll majesty to the masses. One of the most exciting bands to emerge from New England's fertile heavy music scene in years, MOTHERBOAR combine supernatural song writing skills, relentless creativity and some of the most killer riffs ever heard. These dudes just can't be stopped.

This band of handsome devils out-hesh the heshers, out-punk the punkers, and out-floor punch the floor punchers. Their balls to the wall attitude saturates every note blasted and every word bellowed. Routinely drawing comparisons to a diverse range of bands such as Mastodon, Motörhead, Clutch, and Soundgarden, MOTHERBOAR are 99% sure that they're the most awesome band ever.

Beginning in 2004, the band's intense live performances quickly earned them a fanatical following throughout the northeastern United States. Sharing the stage with such acts as The Sword, Angry Samoans, Scissorfight, Orange Goblin and Stinking Lizaveta, MOTHERBOAR have dazzled audiences with their technical prowess, charismatic stage presence and capacity for onstage alcohol consumption. MOTHERBOAR's all-out rock n' roll bombast is perfectly tempered by their roguish sense of humor - traits that are deeply refreshing in today's eyeliner-laden, misanthropic, doom and gloom metal world.

In late 2006, MOTHERBOAR released their highly anticipated debut record "Raise the Death Toll" on Witch Trial Records . Engineered and mixed by Andrew Schneider (Cave In, The Red Chord, Unsane,), "Raise the Death Toll" is a tour de force. Epic songwriting, throwback thrash riffs, break-neck tempo shifts, and unforgettable sing-alongs make their debut effort one of the most captivating albums to have come out of Boston in years.

MOTHERBOAR is poised for world domination.
