"Gossip Girl"-esque rant on a Saturday

Oh the weekend, lovely weather after the storm and I am at Mot Ho turning up the music on obnoxious cell chatters and ringing up the sales.

Today is Saturday and beyond the baseball there’s Dave Tree’s art sale at his House of ILL located at 159 North Beacon suite A22 in Allston 3-9.
And it’s the Central Sq Art weekend... go see my friend Brooks at Buckaroo's Mercantile- 5 Brookline Street- across from TT’s (he has great stuff and Mexican wrestling masks!!!)
Tonight Pet Genius Clouds are at The Middle East with Blacktail and Angels of Meth! (18+ $8)
Sunday the 14th is kinda happening with The Lady K memorial bike ride 2:00 pm at 95 JFK Street, Harvard Square. www.eximiousproductions.com/kmalone/
And Aliza’s self benefit Traniwreck at The Milky Way (9pm 21+ $8 bones) to send her to the Drag King conference in Vancouver www.truthserum.org is her site.
Tuesday the 16th is like a... I don’t even know what we have O’Brien’s with The Winsome Griffles and SpoilSport (21+ $7) I can’t wait to see The Trucks with Living Sea, the Silent Years and Barnicle Upstairs at the Middle East. $9 18+ Or jesum... go to TT’s and see The Clicks.
Wednesday, October 17 at The Baseball Tavern A Wish for Fire plays with We're All Gonna Die and The Take-Back (21+, $8)
Thursday Ghouls Night Out are Playing at TT’s (Myra is awesome…)
Friday The 19th there’s Droppin’ Weird Science a Monster Music Mash-Up to benefit the Boston Derby Dames with Slim Jim and the Mad Cows (Countrified Metal Covers) Fur Purse (80s punk covers) Nicky Click, DJ Paul Foley ($10 21+) at The Milky Way in JP
Or you could go to the Middle East and see Cheeseburger, Cocked n Loaded, Wild Zero and Blood Vessels ($10 18+)
Next Saturday (the 20th) is a sendoff for Marc Schleicher who’s packing up and moving to Jersey (?) The bands are some of my all time favorites and it’s bound to be a good time (KDAY and I are gonna get ROWDY) it’s at Church (The Linwood...) and is (21+ $10) The Humanoids, Mess with the Bull, White Horses, Rock City Crime Wave, Roadsaw, Cortez, Cropduster. ROADSAW people!
As a side mark: We're All Gonna Die, Motherboar, RAW RADAR WAR, Mantooth and maybe a “special guest” are at Church Nov 17th $10, 21+ doors @ 9, just mark yer books for that one.
The amazing and HOT Snowleopards are playing at TT’s this Saturday night too.

ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 27! $10 Middle East Upstairs The Honah Lee’s Under the Cover Bands show has performances from The Vershok as G n fn R, The Unstoppable Black Clouds as Nirvana and Noble Rot as Motorhead. I’ll be harassing you from the stage with Roadsteamer (yeah I hate being on stage ….) and I may even peg you in the head with candy too.
Halloween day hosts the community Bike ride leaving from the Green St station in JP, and I’ll be nutty on the streets… tmi huh?
And don’t forget to go to The Video Underground in JP www.thevideounderground.com and rent all you favorite creepy and scary movies (I am partial to fright night... my sisters and I used to scream like the lil vampire nerd next door neighbor “There a note from your mom... it says there a chicken in the OVEN” all said while he’s trying to kill the lead hot boy.. anyway go scare yer bad self and rent from Evonne.

afternoon delight on a Thursday!


Happy almost HALLOWEENIE Red Sox fans!

This town is OUT OF CONTROL and it's amazing. Really. But when you are not vying for tickets to games or glued to the TV (or your IPhone/Blackberry?computer- yes one of my friends watched the game on HIS COMPUTER the other night- you know who you are!) here are some things to do this weekend (and a lil bit beyond.)

AND today is the GRAND opening of the MOTLEY SHOE SHOP. 76 Dartmouth Street 617 351 6969. It's pretty slick if I do say so! Doug is a genius and his taste is divine! NEW SHOES FOR ME!!!! It's mostly sneakers and "casual foot ware" yes yes it is.
