The Print Gocco is little Japanese screenprinting kit.
Riso, the Japanese parent company that owns Print Gocco, recently ceased producing the Gocco machines and materials.
The Gocco machines have only been available in the Americas for the past few years and have yet to become widely appreciated.
BUT now the Gocco needs help!
In December of 2005, the website www.savegocco.com was founded, where Gocco advocates can attempt to convince another company to manufacture new Print Gocco machines (or to get Riso to start making them again).
This website and Gocco aficionados everywhere are doing their part by raising awareness and encouraging Gocco art shows in various American cities.
This is Boston’s Print Gocco Show.
Local Artists, Print Gocco machines, original works.
The intent is to show how creative artists and everyone can get with the little printers and to sell inexpensive prints so that people can enjoy them in their own homes.
Art created by many artists including Virginia artist Frank Lewis who’s has won many awards for Gocco work from the Japanese company RISO.
